The “RBG on 100” Shirt.

This shirt was initially released in August 2020, when me and Shani embarked on and presented an RBG collaborative print project, to commemorate and celebrate 100 years since the honorable Marcus Garvey and the United Negro Improvement Association (UNIA) formally adopted the Pan-African (RBG) Flag at the Declaration of the Rights of the Negro Peoples of the World in NYC.

We are now dropping this piece on 06/19/2023 in a new colorway, in collaborative conjunction with Shani’s Limited Edition Print titled “SISFLAG,” a resulting art production from her second solo show titled “RED, BLACK, and GREEN."

The RBG flag is an enduring symbol of Black liberation, consciousness, and representation of unity among the African diaspora.  Garvey and the UNIA framed the need for a flag in a political context, a manifestation of Black collective identification, aspirations, and resistance to oppression.
